Team USA players Sidney Peters, Toni Ann Miano,  Jenny Ryan, and Annie Pankowski  were joined by NAHA Senior Ashley Wilkes and  NAHA coaches Cassie Hanson and Melissa Rundlett to run an amazing free clinic for Vermont U12 and U14 girls. Shamrock/Essex Youth Hockey alum and current NAHA player Rachel Morse also helped out.

NAHA Successfully Partners with Shamrocks!

National powerhouse ran a free clinic for Shamrock girls!

U12 and U14 girls from across VT got a chance be coached by team USA players and NAHA Coaches

North American Hockey Academy is the primere hockey Academy in the USA.  Based in Stowe, NAHA players populate the rosters of many NCAA Division 1 teams as well as USA U18, U20 National teams. The Vermont Shamrocks serve high level players from Vermont and NY.  Though only around for a short time, current and former players are filling rosters at places like NAHA, Shattuck-St. Mary's (MN), many local high school all-star selections.

2012-13 the Vermont Shamrocks will again field a national tournament bound Tier II U16 "split season" team for high school varsity players and a national bound Tier I or Tier II U19 team (TBD) in our split season program.

Split season teams follow a Saturday evening/Sunday schedule in the fall, shut down for the HS season, and reassemble for the NE Regional and USA National tournaments (if qualified) in the spring.

The 'Rocks will also field U12 and U14 "tournament teams" to compete in two or three "showcase" tournaments.

A tentative event in the early fall (in or near Vermont) is followed by the Cape Cod Classic over over Thanksgiving and The CT Polar Bear Tournament between X-mas and New Years.

Our U12 and U14 teams are NOT full season nor are they USAH "National Bound" and thus they are open to any girl who plays high school or local association boys or girls hockey.  We expect our players to be loyal to their school/local associations, but we provide an excellent outlet and challenge for the region's top players.

The Vermont Shamrocks bring together some of the most competitive girls hockey players from all across New England and New York state.  The goal is to provide a high level of hockey while promoting participation at the local and scholastic high school level.  The emphasis is on skill development and teamwork by fostering a spirit of cooperation and unity, as well as individual self-growth.

We create a fun environment which focuses on important values such as sportsmanship, friendship, and love of the game.  The lesson at the end of the day is that succeeding is really more about how they play the game – win or lose.

Our season fees only include the costs of our tournament entry fees and ice time.  Our prices are as low as select hockey can get ... but the value of the program to our players has proven to be significant.
